I was looking for a copper kitchen aid mixing bowl to enhance my meringues and stumbled upon the French Copper Studios copper pots. I had a set of Cuisinart that had for over 20 years that I would not part with. I was not looking to replace my cookware. I tried Le Creuset once and had to get rid of them Because they were too heavy. After reading up on the benefits of using copper for cooking I decided to try a few pieces. They are absolutely beautiful. I spent the next 3 days cooking incessantly. I was amazed at not only their beauty but their cooking qualities. The copper cookware heated faster and evenly. No more moving food around in the pan to keep the hot spots from burning.
My family is always bothered by smoking pans and cooking odours. I now cook with a lower heat in less time with no odours and get great results braising, frying, and simmering. If not for experiencing it myself I would not have believed it possible. So believe me when I say they are a joy to use. After 20 plus years I tossed out the Cuisinart and ordered even more copper cookware. They take a little care but when you love the cookware you use it’s no trouble. I keep my copper looking new by using the “Barkeeper’s Friend”. The French Copper Studio’s customer service is just as great as the copper cookware itself. I wish there was a higher rating for customer service, French Copper Studio goes beyond the normal or expected customer service. I purchased the Custom-Fit “KitchenAid” “Professional 600” Bowl for my standing mixer, to help aide my egg whites in volume and stability. The difference between a stainless-steel bowl and The Custom-Fit “KitchenAid Professional 600” Bowl was drastically noticeable. My husband and I performed a test using a dozen egg whites from the same carton. We divided them in half, 6- egg whites in the stain steel bowl aided by a pinch of salt and cream of tartar, and 6- egg whites in the Custom-Fit “KitchenAid “Professional 600” Bowl with a pinch salt. Using the standing mixer with the whisk attachment for both bowls I began to create meringue; the meringue aided by using Custom-Fit “KitchenAid “Professional 600” Bowl was stiffer, had more stability, higher volume, and remained firmer for a longer period of time. My husband had to admit using copper bowl definitely made a difference.
